Ethereum-based NFT Projects Earn $1.8 Billion In Royalties
The latest report from Galaxy Digital revealed that more than $1.8 billion in royalties had been paid to creators of Ethereum-based NFT collections.
Ten collections earned 27% from sales in the secondary market alone – half a billion dollars were learned. The leader is Yuga Labs, with its collections Bored Ape Yacht Club, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, and Otherside. The top ten include projects like the Sandbox, World of Women, Moonbirds, Azuki, and others.
We mentioned earlier that Magic Eden was forced to introduce a new royalty policy. Users can choose to pay them the total cost of royalties, half, or none at all. The decision was met with mixed reviews. The representatives of the site themselves noted that this could negatively affect them.
