Hut 8 Bought 960 Microbt Miners From TAAL
Canadian mining company Hut 8 Mining has entered into an agreement with TAAL to host and acquire its 960 MicroBT Whatsminer M31S+ miners. This was reported in a press release.
Bitcoin mining equipment is operated in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. The deal will increase the Hut 8 hash rate by 81 PH/s, to 2.62 EH/s.
The agreement will enter into force on May 1.
As of December 31, the company’s computing power was 2 EH/s.
Recall that in 2021 the Canadian Hut 8 mined 2786 BTC and increased revenue by 327%, to 173.8 million CAD.
Formerly Arcane Research analysts predicted an increase in the share of hashrate and bitcoins on the balance sheets of public mining companies from the USA and Canada.
