Elon Musk Commented On The Video About The Crypt In South Korea

On Saturday, September 3, 2022, South Korean media reported that a video with Elon Musk about cryptocurrencies was shown on the South Korean government channel on the YouTube video platform. Later it became known that 4 hours after the appearance of the video, access to the state account was restored. The billionaire himself admitted a day later that he knew nothing of the incident. According to the entrepreneur, this is the work of hackers in which he is not personally involved.

Journalists reported that the account was exploited and the Korean government channel was renamed SpaceX Invest, after which fake videos with entrepreneur Elon Musk were uploaded there. The founder of Tesla discussed the benefits of cryptocurrency investments. Experts assured that artificial intelligence (AI) technology was used to edit these recordings. The moderators noted: that they have no idea how the login and password from the channel fell into the hands of scammers.

Representatives of the authorities stated that they had initiated an investigation into this fact. South Korea warned its citizens not to trust everything they see on American video platforms and said: they will definitely find those responsible for this situation and punish them.

Officials from Google, which owns the YouTube service, also confirmed they were aware of the incident. They assured that they would conduct an internal investigation and try to find the source of the hack.
