Coinbase Launches Ethereum Staking For Institutional Clients
According to a company blog post, U.S. customers of Coinbase Prime now have Ethereum staking.
“Customers can create a wallet, decide on an amount, and start staking from the ETH Assets page of their Coinbase Prime account,” the firm wrote.
The funds will be placed in the cold storage of the institutional platform.
Recall that in July, the developers of Ethereum tentatively approved the blockchain migration to Proof-of-Stake on September 19, 2022.
The Goerli testnet will switch to the new consensus algorithm when the cumulative network difficulty reaches 10,790,000. According to the developers, this will happen between August 6 and 12.
