Bitcoin Miner CleanSpark Bought 10,000 ASICs “For Cheap”
- CleanSpark replenished its asset of installations for mining
- The company bought another 10 thousand Bitmain Antminer S19j Pro
- The deal cost the miner only $28 million.
Today, September 7th, major bitcoin miner CleanSpark announced an agreement with Bitmain. As part of the deal, the company purchased 10,000 Antminer S19j Pro rigs “at an extremely affordable price.”
The purchase cost CleanSpark $28 million. Previously, the company actively acquired these ASICs during the period from June to August. In total, the miner ordered 6.2 thousand similar installations.
In fact, the company “paid” $28 for 1 TH/s. The same installs cost about $116 per TH/s in January. Such a significant drop is due to the situation in the market as a whole. The new machines will arrive at the “farms” before the end of the year.
It is noteworthy that the computing power of the company over the past six months has grown by 47%, bitcoin mining – by 50%. The company demonstrated such indicators at the end of July.
“These numbers prove that we are ahead of the global hash rate. With our comprehensive strategy of non-stop operation, efficiency improvement and execution, we expect to continue to improve them, ” said CEO Zack Bradford.
Despite the summer crisis in the field of mining, the market is now showing a positive trend. In August, the income of “farmers” increased by 10%, and the complexity of the network – by 9.26%.
