Binance Will Open A Customer Service Center In Turkey
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced the launch of a customer service center in Turkey. This is written by the local branch Cointelegraph with a link to the press release.
According to the publication, the company will provide round-the-clock support in Turkish through the application. The goal of the initiative is to reduce the number of cases of fraud.
In response to a request from ForkLog, Binance representatives confirmed the launch of the service, but did not disclose details.
In 2020 trading platform launched Binance TR division with support for fiat deposits in lira. Then the CEO of the company, Changpeng Zhao, called Turkey one of the leading countries in terms of the dynamics of the implementation of blockchain solutions and a key market for the global economy.
At the end of 2021, the Financial Crimes Investigation Board of Turkey fined the local division of the bitcoin exchange 8 million lire for violations discovered during the test.
Previously regulators obliged cryptocurrency trading platforms to notify users of transactions exceeding the limit of 10,000 lira. In April, the Central Bank of Turkey banned using cryptocurrencies as a form of payment.
Recall that in early January 2022, the media reported on the rise of bitcoin and tether in Turkey due to depreciation of the lira.
