From March to April 2022, cybersecurity company BrandShield succeeded in removing 120 phishing sites and 58 fake social media accounts from The Sandbox metaverse project. CoinDesk writes about it.

The teams’ agreement aims to ensure the safety of users associated with the NFT metaverse.

BrandShield also evaluates threats from websites and NFT marketplaces in analyzing and classifying attacks on crypto wallets.

To consolidate the effect, The Sandbox conducts user training.

“We need to provide guidance to our players and creators so that they remain vigilant for all external risks, ” said Sébastien Borge, COO of the project.

Recall that in April 2022, it became known about the plans of The Sandbox team to raise $400 million at an estimate of $4 billion.

Gucci, Standard Chartered, and HSBC have acquired virtual lands in this metaverse, while Dubai regulator and KEB Hana have opened their offices.
