Emirates Airlines has announced that it plans to transform its pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai into a hub for Web3, NFT and Metaverse products.
“The Emirates Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will also be repurposed as an innovation hub, including the development of the airline’s metaverse and NFT projects.”
In addition, the largest airline in the United Arab Emirates announced the launch of the NFT collection , which, according to its representatives, will help improve not only the company’s income, but also communication with its customers.
Emirates is at the forefront of innovation in the airline industry. The company was one of the first to launch virtual reality on its official Emirates app and on Emirates.com. This gave people the opportunity to have an immersive 3D experience and view the interior of the aircraft.

The technology to this day is helping thousands of customers view the cabin of an aircraft to decide on a seat choice and book a seat online. Passengers can also use the 3D seat map to explore their seats before checking in. The airline was the first to release a VR app on the Oculus store. In addition, passengers can use the application to look into the cockpit and pick up their belongings from the waiting room.
