Optimism Developers Introduce Drippie Transaction Automation Solution
The Optimism team has developed Drippie, a programmable Ethereum transaction automation system that executes transactions in response to certain conditions.
Drippie is essentially an Ethereum-native version of If This Then That (IFTTT), a programmable Web2 service that can combine different triggers with actions.
According to the developers, the mechanism can perform most of the typical necessary transactions for Optimism to function. This includes, for example, maintaining balance in different accounts to move funds between L1 and L2 levels.
Drippie runs on top of the Gelato automation protocol. At the same time, the system independently finances the account required to pay for transactions.
The mechanism not only simplifies the interaction of Optimism with the leading Ethereum network and other chains but also improves security, the developers noted. Drippie allows you to maintain the minimum required amount of funds in operational hot wallets, reducing possible damage in case of compromise.
In addition to Gelato, the team plans to integrate similar solutions as backup automation channels – Chainlink Keepers and OpenZeppelin Defender AutoTasks.
Drippie is open source under the MIT license.
