Binance.US Licensed in Puerto Rico
The US division of the bitcoin exchange Binance has received a money transfer provider license from the financial regulator of Puerto Rico.

The island territory became the fourth US jurisdiction to issue such approval to Binance.US in 2022. Earlier, the states of West Virginia, Connecticut and Wyoming made a similar decision.
“After the successful closing of the seed round, we are thrilled to be able to pick up momentum with this license and are grateful to Puerto Rico for the trust,” said CEO Brian Schroeder.
According to the announcement, Binance.US operates in 45 states and 7 territories. The platform lists over 90 cryptocurrencies.
Recall that in April 2022, the American branch raised $200 million with a preliminary estimate of $4.5 billion.
